Mercy High School
Environmental Graphics
From the time they opened the first Catholic school in Omaha in 1864, the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas have been an important part of the area’s educational community. When Mercy High School – Omaha began remodeling, they wanted the updated space to pay tribute to the history and legacy of the Sisters of Mercy and showcase the values they continue to live out today.
The Turnpost team carried out this vision by designing graphics in the school’s entry, office, academic success center, and hallways. The butterfly motif is a nod to Mercy’s monarch mascot and their mission in empowering young women to grow and reach their full potential. The finished installations serve to celebrate student and alumni successes, impart the nearly 200 year history of the Sisters of Mercy, and inspire students and faculty to uphold the values of Catherine McAuley.
